I have mine mounted just on the first shoulder. They seem to have increased my rpm's which is great. I am going to do some good testing this weekend. Might have to add more weight to the tips. I used to come out of the hole at 10200 and jump to 10500. She's going right over 10500 now almost instantly. Only change from last year was the rings.

Anyone have any ideas why my sled won't grab over 9200 rpm? I have the ECP kit with 165 mains, out 2 1/4 turns on the screws, and needles in position 2.
I'm not sure if it ever went over tho now? I also have a dalton clutch kit (primary got "dogs" only, nop spring"

Sounds like you have your carburation correct. What color slide springs do you have? If your carbs are clean and syncronized then I would guess it is probably in your clutching. I'm not familiar with the Dalton set-up but I would start looking for binding and or clutch alignment.

I got the red slide springs....I hear most guys run with the silver tho...what is the difference? Should I try running my stock one's again, but leave the rest the same?

Manitoba,
I have the silver springs and ride at 0-2000ft elevation. I used to run the green springs but to be honest with you the difference in revs between the 2 wasn't that great. Maybe better throttle response with the silver. I still believe your problem is with the clutch set-up. Do you have the clutching coponents to start from stock again? Do one mod at a time to eliminate the variables.

If you are riding flat groomed trails, you can get away with mounting the filter on the first smaller diameter lip. If you ride a bumpy trails, you will want to put them on so the back edge of the velocity rings are fluch to the flange on the filters. I think this will prevent them from falling off.
