Finally getting snow!!!! 18" in last 24 hours

Finally seeing some accumulations is a good thing....

Some pockets getting way way more, but most of my haunts have gotten at least 18"

Worst snow I have rode since before Thanksgiving was today

1500 feet above and 5 miles from the Salt.

Hey Rick, It must be rough....... Man its just cold enough here to "frost" the cars in the driveway.

Another foot last night...another foot forecasted tonight.... Nice to finally have some pattern change!!!!

Only bad part is, no riding for me for a little, ride is still in parts....

mtdream, I am guessing you are around the Cooke City area? We are heading to West Yellowstone from MN this afternoon, hoping for decent snow there too!

I don't ride Cooke...but they got the same snow....I rude a ridge or two over from Cooke, usually around Big Sky or Yellowstone area...

You should have an epic time, but keep in mind we have faceted snow all the way to the ground, and all this new snow means big any conditions...I.e. the avy's will be base slides, going all the way to the ground...

Please be careful!!!!

Thankfully, I am going with some more experienced mountain riders. We will definitely be paying close attention to avy conditions.
