I bought my Apex last march from Troy City Garage. Great people with great service by the way.

Needless to say this winter hasn't exactly been great for snowmobiling up here. Most places barely have enough snow to ride and the trails are getting pretty beat. I only put 50 miles on my sled between lake riding and some real short trail rides due to bad conditions. My sled became the designated camera carrying sled lol. I was really suprised that when i opened my trunk it was warm in there due to the exhaust running right underneath it. It kept the batteries nice and warm so the cameras and vid cameras worked! :)

I only had two little problems with the sled. One was the fact it was -22 degrees outside friday night and my battery was dead saturday morning. Can't really blame the sled becuase everyones battery no matter what they rode was dead. I also chewed up one of my idlerwheels. Again not bad because i still had my 06 recalled wheels on there. I had my new ones in reserve.

All in all i am very happy with the sled so far. I performed great and went good for a bone stock sled.

The only other thing i was curious about with the sled is i reved to about 10,500. Is this normal or should it rev higher? Also i noticed quite a bit of ice build up on the chasis? Anyone who can help me out with these 2 things i'd appreciate it.

Oh btw I am registered in NH but aparently they are having a problem with the new decals sticking. My buddy told me about the problem and sure enough i lost one at some point during the day. I still have the other one i just angled the sled so you can't see the big ugly brown NH decal!!!

Here are a few pics from Back Lake in Pittsburg, NH.

Do they still have the strip plowed on back lake? I was there two weeks ago and the conditions were great. Those pics make me wanna get in the truck right now!
where in MA are ya?

we might not have to go as far north this weekend for snow! possible 10 inches in some of the lower parts

Those are normal RPMs for the Stock clutching..

So how did you do on that lake against everyone else..??

Yup they still have that strip plowed on Back Lake. Here is a pic of my buddy mesing around on that strip on his Ski Doo.

I'm actually in the Lynn/Peabody area probably 35 min from you. We went up with 5 ppl this weekend. Not sure how much snow there is further south but there isnt much snow as of yet. The lakes are finally frozen and they say are rideable. Winnipesaukee in NH is supposively frozen but no snow. One of the guys i ride with his parents have a condo there. Turkey Pond in Concord, NH is frozen if you like racing.

I didn't really race anyone this weekend. I was just trying the sled out to see how it was. I did mess around with my friends Ski Doo and another one's F7. The doo beat me but its got some stuff done to it, it goes really good. The kid with the F7 put it back to stock minus the clutching and he wouldnt pull away from my sled until the top end. In his defense i dont think he had his clutching right which was preventing his belt from riding all the way up on his primary. Not to bad for a bone stock sled i havent even messed with yet. Not to mention the F7 with no electric start or reverse is like 75 pounds lighter than an Apex.

I have a call into Gary from Ulmer Racing. The only thing i want to do to my sled is clutch it and gear it. The gear is not a big deal. A gear is a gear but i need to find out what clutching works good.
