First ride impressions of my New 2011 Apex SE

Interesting reads. I have been wondering how the SE 128" track versions stack up compared to the Pre-2011 136" LTX/Attak type models. I would think the 136 would still bridge the bumps better when the moguls start to setup on the trails. I know the XTX 144 is what replaced that model but do they corner as well???? hmmmm

I traded an 05 Warrior for a standard 11 APEX, as I couldn't get the APEX XTX in my current trailer. I originally bought the long track for my size as I am 6'4" and 240. The 128 is more than enough track for this sled and I am not missing the 136 at all, so far.

The only time I'm wishing I still had the longer track is with fresh snow 4-6 inches on the trail or just plain real loose conditions. Got better traction with my 136er but I also had more studs 168 vs. 136 and my 136 was studded on the outside too so that may have helped too. I really love this sled it handles rides and just plain out performs better IMHO than the 06-10 model Apex. Would I still like to see more improvement Yes of course but with what I would pick from any of the other manufacturers F1100 Turbo or 800 ETEC and no way Polaris rather sit at home, this is by far the best sled going.

Better hope your buddy doesn't put a programmer on that cat. It will be untouchable if so. I witnessed 2 in action at the Muni ride today. Wicked fast. The only thing I didn't like about them other than their shody workmanship/quality, was their sound. Kinda like a tractor. Not pleasing at all
