First ride on 08 GT. Wow!!

Bergstrom Triple pints here on both machines. No darting at all. One set has 2800 miles on them and they will go another 1k or so. Not bad for carbides.

I got a chance to drive an Apex gt on the weekend for the first time (new yamaha demo) i too was impressed with the sled all round .I'm currently on a well clutched 02 srx the gt was an instant good fit for me ,i felt imediately i could run that sled hard through a trail ...it just felt natural ...it will be my next sled!!! :yam:

I have 8 inch tripples with >6000 miles and although not sharp still have alot of carbide. The center still has some bite to it and the edges are even better. I don't think I will change them before 10 k, maybe not then.

they sure didn't help you coming down that little hill now did they :moon:

I run DEUCE BARS from Stud Boy w/8500kms and still going they bite well in the corners and eliminate 90% of darting another thing I tried this year is I bought a set of GYTR clickers and got them SHIMMED 5/8" or shorten the travel and by doing this I accomplished in lowering my COG of nearly 2" without affecting ride quality "A" arms are almost level, what a difference in handling and cornering! check out my avatar...

Snowtrackers really do work well, no darting at all and turns the sled where you point it.

Are Snowtrackers available right now? What are you guys paying for them? The website doesn't say much.

I'm using the Stud Boy Deuces, 9" right now. But, since I'm always willing to experiment, I was curious as to which Snowtrackers everybody was using, extreme or semi- extreme, or aggressive or whatever they're called, I forgot.

Chasex7,

I bought an 07 Apex GT last year and I can tell you that it is the funnest sled I have ever riden. I dumped the stock ski and installed Slydog Powderhounds. It was the best $340 I ever spent on a sled. These skis rock on the trail and also in the powder.

Enjoy your new ride.

Thanks bb.

So far I really enjoy the sled. Mother nature is not cooperating this weekend so I am getting familiar with the sled. Greased all the A-arm bolts ytesterday. I plan on installing Ulmer's bushing kit after these wear out. Gonna hold off on a ski change until next year. Still gotta put some studs in too.
Really a nice sled.

Gerbie,
they sure didn't, but hard to blame the carbides for going straight when I wasn't smart enough to know to turn....maybe like Nospro said, didn't you see that hill dropped of like a **##** cliff, I should have looked first. But hey I wasn't trying to turn. I was just going to crest the hill and coast down......NOT WHAT HAPPENED LOL

All is fixed now, 25 bucks for a little aluminum welding and good as new.
