Hey everyone I purchased a 2005 rx1 er a few weeks ago. I went for my first ride last sunday on Tug Hill. Only took a 80 mile ride for me to break the transfer rod where it mounts to the arm. I didnt notice right away and put some studs into my heat exchanger. I have been reading a lot about the fragile skids on the 2005rx1 monoshock suspension and people having the same issue i just had. I am planning on replacing all the parts and having the w arm beefed up. I am going to get all new bushings from pioneer, big boy spring,(weight 180 but ride hard), shocks rebuilt and revalved. My real question is after i replace everything and have it setup correctly do you think the skid will hold up well?

yes it will hold up fine , the main thing to do is the beef up kit . i have 3 of them never had a problem once the beef up kit was done.
