I have 800 km so it time to do first service.
Do you guys do the chain case oil or just engine oil/ filter?
I know they say to do chain case seasonal and its only been a few months on it.

I changed my chain case oil also after 500 mile break in. There was a lot of sparkles in the sight glass. Just pump it out. A lot easier then taking it apart

Ya pump it out, then remove cover and clean it out. Cat sure wasn't thinking about a simple drain plug...bozos.

I didn't clean it out yet. Just gonna wait until the off season
I ran mine the full first season 1200 mi then did oil and filter before storing. I did the chaincase in fall when I changed gearing otherwise I'd have done it in spring too.

My trucks are all diesel so I run Mobil Delvac 1 5w40 in most everything here.

I run the o 40. That is some good stuff. After a season (1500 hard miles) Still looks good a new. Great stuff when its very cold. Rode the sled a few weeks ago when it was -25 out and the oil was still very runny and wasn't thick at all.

I just double checked what I was using and provided bad information the first go. I'm using Mobile 1 full synthetic 0W-40. Sorry guys, I'll edit my previous post.

Allen I had mine done in town and they done the whole works for 300 bucks including oil and filter all yamalube and the case oil vipers make the case oil dirty quickly because of the extra chain and gears. I done it again this fall myself because it was dirty after another 800km I pulled the cover off which is a lot of work

Most time when the dealer does the oil they only suck out oil. I don't like that I would rather drain it so I get as much if it out as i can.
Not much snow in town I guess?
