Man am I stoked for tomorrow!! I'm doing my first sled trip to MN. We're trailering to Grand Portage and headin out from there. Not sure where we're gonna end up but I'm taking my new xtx on the trails. Trail conditions is what's going to dictate where and how long we go.

Any advice or tips from ppl riding in these areas?

Going to load the xtx in my long box tomorrow....anyone ever have issues travelling with gate up? Besides a full tank spilling all over....

Watch out for DNR speed limit is 50 mph. Crazy I know, but it's the end of the year, they need there tickets! To pay for the Viking dome...lol

Really they are out!

Will I guess that's better than the 50 km limit we have up here....thanks tho!

Lol...right on! No worries ;)!

Have fun! :-o

you should have no trouble with it tilted its not like the old carbed sleds.

Yes watch out for the DNR they just got issued new ink pens with plenty of ink. That area is fabulous and in the woods the snow will be great - have a fun time.

Have fun! I've ridden up there a couple times this year (Grand Marais/Devil Track Lake Lodge) and never saw any DNR oinkers anywhere when we rode the Gun Flint Trail into the Boundary Waters.

The signage can be a little tricky so pay attention and they will point you in the right direction.

That. Was. AWESOME!!!
Put 220 kms on today. Left from grand portage and went to hungry jacks then off to grand marais via gun flint etc. Super fun and boy am I pleased with the viper. Completely stock setup, finally finishing break in period and this sled is a beast on the hard pack, loose stuff and fun in some deep stuff. Seems like a lot of ppl from Minneapolis were up this way for the weekend which surprised me. Some say the trails suffer after the two harbours area. Is this true?

Great trails with a blue bird day on a wicked sled made for a deadly day!!

If you mean south of Two Harbors this morning it was great. Not sure how beat up it got but still grooming Friday and Saturday nights per DNR web site.

Glad you liked our trails. Have fun

Well if the trails were good, maybe I'll go up there next weekend! I don't care if there bumpy or not I just want to get some more miles in! I would ride around my house, but to much water and grass.

Ya there was quite a bit of snow still with hardly and grass/rocky patches. Some sections were bagged and rough but I don't think the groomer would do much. Depending on weather I may take another trip.
