I just changed the oil on my 06 Apex that I picked up used. I did not get a owners manual. Do you screw the oil cap all the way in to check the oil or just dip it until it touches the resevior? I used about 3 1/4 liters. I thought I bought quarts but when I poured them in i realized they were liters.

Thank you for your help

just rest the dip stick on top of the tank. Dont screw it in. Dont forget to run it a few minutes then let it settle for 5min or so before checking.

thats correct do not screw it in to check the level.but be sure to warm up the the engine properly 10-15 minutes is whats required.

you should be able to download the owners manual on te yamaha site. it may require you to register, but your gonna have it.

No I put in the stock plugs, I haven't ridden the sled and want to make sure everything is ok with it and it runs right before I mess around. I may try them next time around.
