Hello fellow TY members,
Well, looking like I'll be Taking my first snowmobiling trip over to the UP the first weekend in February. Been trying to get information on where the best place to ride/ snow conditions. I've heard of places like Hurley, WI or Houghton and Hancock. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Hankook/ houghton was great this weekend. Saturday they got like 14". I got back a little while ago. Copper harbor was great on trail 3 and 134.

Thanks for the info! I'll let the guys know of the conditions in Hancock/Houghton! I have people in our group traveling from Minot, ND. So, I definitely want to get in some great trail riding!

Yeah I was up in Houghton this weekend too we didn't have that great of trails but after the snow they just got they should be amazing! And if you want to screw around of trail that place is where you want to be!

That looks awesome!! We booked our rooms at the travel lodge in Houghton. Apparently the days we are going over there, a winter carnival is going on. So, there wasn't much for rooms available and we're pretty lucky that we even got any from the sounds of it.

Kinda random but if you wanna eat out go to tinas katalina! Big portions good food and even better prices! It's in south range worth the little trip south! Lol

You should make it a point to walk down and check out all of the snow sculptures at Winter Carnival. Some of them are amazing. They'll be along the college campus corridor there. I helped build on there, oh about 24 years ago....

How's the snow conditions in Hancock/Houghton? Our snow in North Dakota is all gone! It actually feels like March weather..
I here ya. After today there will only be snow piles left. If that big storm doesn't turn north a little we wont be riding for awhile.

Well, all I have to say is WOW!! Our group had an amazing time in Houghton/Hancock! Trails were great and a lot of fun. We're already planning on next years trip!!
Thanks everyone for the info!

Glad you had an awesome time. Don't think I have ever been in that area and not had a great time.
