Hello fellow TY members,
Well, looking like I'll be Taking my first snowmobiling trip over to the UP the first weekend in February. Been trying to get information on where the best place to ride/ snow conditions. I've heard of places like Hurley, WI or Houghton and Hancock. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

If it was me I would NOT stay in the Muni area... the grooming blows.

Thanks for the info! I'll let the guys know of the conditions in Hancock/Houghton! I have people in our group traveling from Minot, ND. So, I definitely want to get in some great trail riding!

That looks awesome!! We booked our rooms at the travel lodge in Houghton. Apparently the days we are going over there, a winter carnival is going on. So, there wasn't much for rooms available and we're pretty lucky that we even got any from the sounds of it.

You should make it a point to walk down and check out all of the snow sculptures at Winter Carnival. Some of them are amazing. They'll be along the college campus corridor there. I helped build on there, oh about 24 years ago....

How's the snow conditions in Hancock/Houghton? Our snow in North Dakota is all gone! It actually feels like March weather..

Glad you had an awesome time. Don't think I have ever been in that area and not had a great time.
