My 144" just barely fits in my 10" enclosed trailer. It MIGHT have 2 inches or less of leeway on it. But never thought of taking this guys approach!

This brings up a question I've been wondering lately, as I'm really thinking about getting a different trailer. What is the minimum length trailer you can fit a 137 in? I have a Sidewinder LTX and Viper LTX. Does anyone know? I currently have an open face (4 place), but really want an enclosed. We actually have a 121 Apex as well, but only use it like twice a winter. I was considering just getting a 2 place clam shell to add to our trailer fleet, rather than getting a 3 or 4 place enclosed, as that would be a lot more cost and we still wouldn't use the space, but once or twice a season. Thoughts? ps I like the ingenuity in the original post.

How about adding a SnoCap to your current trailer? I had one on a 4 place Floe and it worked well. Its not a good as a true enclosed but kept the sleds clean.

borrowed my brothers 7' x 12' + 2' v nose trailer for this season. close to the same gas to pull it as my 8' x 20' +2' nose. one sled had to go in forwards and one backwards to fit 2 apex xtx but there was still room to get around the sled. he uses it for his atv in the summer and it is big enough to take a side by side as he wants to up grade to one at some point.

I had considered that a few years back, but read a lot of negative experiences other's had. Supposedly the newer ones have better material though. Looked at the website now, but not even sure what I'd be looking at for cost. At this point, I'm still leaning towards something more solid, but I guess this would still be an option. Thanks. How about adding a SnoCap to your current trailer? I had one on a 4 place Floe and it worked well. Its not a good as a true enclosed but kept the sleds clean.

I bought mine used, 1 year old and had it for 4 years. No issues with mine but I know what you are saying about an improved material. Mine had the newest. Worked great! I downsized to 2 sleds so no need for a 4 place. Ultimately bought a SnoPro 12' Hybrid and love it. While the Floe/SnoCap worked well, I don't miss pulling the ramp out to unload (I backed out) and load.

I'll take some pics tomorrow, but a 137" will easily fit in 10' clamshell. Because the front of a clamshell is angled up, you can fit sleds that are a bit longer than 10', you might have 10'6" or so of actual usable room. Given that you won't find a clamshell shorter than 10', that is the minimum length!
