2013 RST90D Venture 973 cc carbs
Just bought 2013 RX Venture
Has one sutd pull out in middle of track- single drill sized hole with 3/4" tear.
Guy said hes run it like that for 2 seasons.... ?
Can I install a double stud over this as a fix?
It would cover the tear, insert into the stud pic hole and maybe then fixed?
I would also cut stud height down so it is not one of the main traction studs

Your thoughts and experience is appreciated thanks!

Any pics? I would just remove leave it as an empty hole. Would not put a double stud, I think it will tear out a bigger hole.

The problem with putting a stud back in the hole is more of the flexing going around rear wheels or front drivers. Try putting a drilled out track slug in the hole and use shoe glue or some thing that stays flexable .You will be able too keep a eye on it over the season .Just clean it up good with break clean first. Another idea would be a truck tire patch that has a stem on it for the hole and a nice flat patch that could be cut to size.
