Its that time of year again when the temp starts to drop and the sleds come out for the pre season mods and maintenance.
I have a loud rattling coming from my exhaust under the gas tank. Im thinking it could be the donut gaskets. If so is this a big job to fix and do the gas tank need to be removed? I have 8500 kms on the sled and have never had them changed. Thanks in advance for the info.

Start your sled shove a rag over exhaust if sled dont stall or sounds even louder in that spot that will be doughnuts. Or my apex had a cracked y pipe and doughnuts. I would think tank removal but not sure on nytro just got my 2011.

Takes little time to get the seat and tank off for inspection.

Most likely a good idea to take a peek.

There's a how to replace exhaust gaskets thread on this forum somewhere. Try a search. I believe there are some pics on it too.

Get a set of copper donuts and open her up. Its not that big of a job.
(OFT has them in stock).

The fuel tank and heat shield definately has to go.

There are some pics in my garage thread from when i replaced the donuts earlier this summer.
