No, not ours.....well, maybe........a couple weeks ago I'm riding off-trail with a group from down here......my buddy, Mike, is right in front of me.........whenever we got a opening in the woods he'd jump off the tracks to one side and I'd go to the other......I was right behind him virtually the entire day.
So we're headed home.........pull out of the woods onto a forest service road and are just accelerating really good when Mike sticks his hand up and coasts to a stop........I pull up beside him, look down, and there's bright green puke everywhere.....WTF? Seems he hit something (probably a small stump) under the snow...........as I mentioned I was right behind him and he never bounced or anything......so we tilt his sled up ('12 600 e-tec GSX)..........whole front heat exchanger is GONE.......ripped right out.......we figure a good sized stick plus spinning track equals bye-bye heat exchanger.
Now for the flimsy part.........the insurance company TOTALED it........Say WHAT? It wasn't even enough impact to deflect the sled and it's totaled? Unbelievable.

Wow, that is amazing that they totaled it for that! Maybe they didn't want to risk replacing the engine, not knowing how long it had been run without coolant. Hopefully there's a way to buy it back somehow, as it sounds like it would be a good candidate for repair, and maybe your buddy would even come out ahead. On the other hand, maybe the insurance adjuster was just used to having Ski-Doo, Polaris, etc. sleds totaled after "one hit" and thought it's the safest thing to just total it and move on. Still sounds ridiculous though!

Nope......it's at a "local" repair shop 30 or mi. away..........didn't look that bad at first but apparently it ripped the bulkhead when it pulled the rivets out.......the so-called "nun"? As to running too long, sled shut itself down automatically when it started to get hot.any pics?
