float bowl adjustment

I'm in the middle of adjusting the float bowls and now I think I did it wrong, I did a search and I've read threw the service manual but I still have my doubts, can someone give me an idea how it's done since I just flipped the carbs over and measured 11-15mm from where the bowl sits on the carbs to the top of the float

alright I know I messed up the 2 I did, I just flipped the carbs over and measured 11-15mm's, so I guess I have to tilt the carbs until they barely touch the needle thing and then measure, this sounds like it's going to be a PITA

Just to throw a bit of humor at this, ... I never did figure out how to adjust the float bowls. ?? or How about, ...

When you have 4 of anything (e.g. carbs, wives, daughters, etc.), you got to have a lot of patience. ??
