None, looking now!
My 07 Attak came with the black clicker shocks. I still have the floats from my RTX. Which is better? Would the clickers be better after HYGear does their thing, or would the HYGear floats be the ultimate? I'm thinking the clicker would be a better choice with dual rate springs. It seems the clickers have more adjustability.

Tell me what you guys think.....

IMO Floats really shine in the rough and the ability to handle the big hit. On groomed trails they don't have a clear advantage and really need a 13mm sway as they seem to induce more body roll in the turns on groomed trails. Add a 13mm sway and they rock in a conditions (again IMO).

I agree Ny nytro i won't own anything but floats again.

I like my GYTR's. 1' - 2' moguls in the Keewenaw and they rode/handled them AWESOME!!!

But since you already have the floats - go ahead and try them. It can't hurt.

floats and kyb remote cans

just get ohlins I have just gave up on the floats just cant take it in the rough stuff I may be done sledding but to date liken the ohlins the best kim

Can't speak for the Floats, other than ride height adj. and the advantage of being lighter than a spring/shock.

I have the GYTR's, and absolutely love the adj capabilities.

It only takes 20 seconds to make a change, and it is immeditely noticable. The rebound adj really changes the feedback to the bars on stutters, and it also ties the front end down and keeps the skis on the ground in the middle of the corner when transitioning from off/on throttle.

IMO

I never bottom a fox float, they absorb all the #*$&@ i can give to them.
Love my float but can't speak for the GYTR cliker, never try them.I speak whit ross and the Hygear float set-up will hold more in the soft portion of the shock like the GYTR and got more adjustability . I have done the rear shock from Hygear and i love-it!

The front and rear are working together to make a good ride.If one end is bad the whole overall ride suffers. You can overdrive one or the other if the shock(s) performance is not right. If the front is not right the rear is at a disadvantage already before it even hits the bump.

After I bought my Floats I called Ross at Hygear about a Ohlin's revalve and he told me the front and rear do work together.
My 06 GT didn't have a good ride and I felt the back sucked with the front just ok for my type of riding which is usually mostly groomed to beat up trails during afternoon riding where I have to stand up to ride.

I revalved the rear Ohlin and added Hygear's dual rate spring kit.

I also put the Floats on the front because I rode a friends RTX last year and liked them compared to my GYT shocks and had to have the Floats on my GT for this season.

My GT rides much better and I'am happy so far with the overall performance but its still not a mogul pounding sled and never will be.
It has not bottomed hardly at all but I don't crash through the moguls and the Ohlin tuning is much more noticable using the handlebar adjustment.

EDIT-If Hygear does a revalve/rebuild or puts on Hy-Lo valve to GYT's then they should give a much improved ride.

I have the Floats with reserviors and am still playing with the adjustments and air pressure but these are excellent shocks. ;)!

OK this is info i need,as i just bought my first gt,have had two apexs w/fox floats, now you mentioned the rebound adjustment knob, although it is not as user friendly as the compression clicker,i am aware it has some value,if i leave the springs set stock and just click up the compression setting to say 8-10 12 being total range of adjustment,it seems stiffer ok,but suffers quite a bit thru the stutters,is there a way to soften the effects of the compression by way of the rebound adjustment. Thanks Pete, maybe you could give me your favorite set up for the gyts.
