floorboard inserts???

I'm not sure of any mass-produced inserts but I made a template and bought some "Gravel Guard" trailer fender protective vinyl w/adhesive backing and cut it out and put it on-looks great and has held up well, at least I think it still has held up.

I had 2k miles on the sled when I sold it and it looked great, no peeling or lifting. Originally thought of polishing the runningboards, but that creates more upkeep than necessary. This stuff looks good, and cleans up well.

I had seen a posting awhile back from "Cubby" who had some type of insert, but haven't heard anything more on price and availability.

what do you use to make them stick without pulling up?

i think the key to making them stick really good,is cleaning the footwell thoroughly, getting all wax off....i usually use alcohol.

then try to install them in heated shop...i also use a blow dryer to heat up the metal...

they are really sticky, and mine have never even budged....only time these come off,is if they were applied without cleaning properly...mine still look new.

I couldnt stand how cheap the paint was and started to wear with 50 miles on sled...i had to have something to keep her looking mint.
