Just as an informative thread for everyone I wanted to post what I found on how to flush the coolant in our sleds. I'm no mechanic and to be honest have never flushed coolant in anything. I was on the website for the company that makes "engine ice" and they have step by step instructions on how to flush the coolant. They are as follows...

1. Mix the water/vinegar at 50/50

2. Fill system with the solution

3. Run engine until warm

4. Let cool

5. Drain

6. Run clear water through to rinse out vinegar

7. Fill with coolant of choice

My questions are

Do we need to get air out of the lines?

Where do we drain the coolant?

When it comes to step 6, run clear water through to rinse out vinegar, do we just fill up the system again with pure water (distilled maybe) run engine and flush again?

The system will bleed the air out on it's own but you need to keep an eye on the level and add as needed until it is full once again. to drain lift the back of the sled up, remove the rad cap, remove the thermostat outlet hose(it's below the brake rotor), remove the coolant reservoir hose(goes from the top of the rad to the coolant reservoir). When you refill the system fill the rad then run the engine for a few minutes (so engine is warm enough to circulate the coolant not hot) then add more as needed. In the end check your coolant level when the engine is cold. I think your assumption is correct on step 6.
