Foil by heat shield

does everyone have this piece of foil by the heat shield just sitting by the gas tank? Does not seem like it belongs.

Just got done wrenching on mine, ran back out and looked. Nothing like that there, this isn't off of the gas tank or spare/double piece of gas tank shield?

Coming off bottom side of gas tank. Put back up and get sum furnace heat tape and tape back in place all good.

Mine has done exactly the same. The fiberglass mesh is still there, but not the foil.

thanks guys it seems to be a common occurrence. I have some foil tape and will try and tape it back on.

Anybody ever feel how hot the tank gets being close to the exhaust?

Part is back ordered no ETA make your dealer aware have them claim it under warranty.
