Please include or install a Fuel Pressure gauge with your kit. Their only $40 to $50 dollars extra. This will help with us diagnosing your problems. A stuck or sticking fuel pressure regulator will cause all kinds of running, idling, AFR and 0 to 1/4 throttle response gremlins. The stock ones go bad a lot more than you know about. A Fuel Pressure Gauge inline to the fuel rail is the only way to tell.

On my apex I have a pressure sensor on my fuel regulator , it reads out on my dash( alone with what ever else I want to see ) and if I data log you can see what the fuel pressure is at any point , I also have pressure sensors for the turbo back pressure , coolant pressure ,oil pressure , then you have all the temp. sensors .
And yes a good engine / turbo kit builder will supply these with there kit , I am glad I had the fuel pressure one , I started have problem , checked data log and seen the fuel pressure was dropping as boost build , checked and the fuel filter was plugged , cleaned the filter and problem is gone

Just by having that gauge there saved a lot of time and headaches there. So all the guys on here please go buy one. Trust me when those high pressure pumps start to fail or fuel pressure regulators stick that's the first your look at and know the problem. You'll see if FPR is holding pressure with key off. (FPR stuck open) or (holding valve in high pressure pump fail). I'm selling anything here. Just trying to help the new or old guys to the turbo world. As anybody on here will tell you too much pressure is just as bad as not enough.

I have Fuel Pressure Testing Equipment in my shop to be able to test my customers sleds.
At least the installer should have the ability to do the test for their customers :-)

Just imagine how easier it would be if it was already installed.

Any recommendations for brand and type of gauge you guys are using? Are you installing the gauge under the hood for diagnosis only?

I can hear you, and it would have been Nice to have the fuel pressure tester installed in every turbo installation.

How much fuel presure is on a Mcx170 nytro?

Joe.... you know you can log fuel pressure on your MoTeC.... just add a sensor and you have full visibility on FP and can understand the effect of duty cycle versus pressure versus voltage drop at high load.....

Yes I know I can do it and will do it eventually but for all these other people that can't. Did you get my latest log file I sent you?
