How cold is the Nytro to ride?

Most magazines write that the air coming off the front of the sled is concentrated around your mid section and crotch area and can be cold to ride.
Who has experience in riding -20C and colder? And, how cold is the sled? Handwarmers? Etc...
FYI I'm looking at the XTX for this winter

if concerned, get handguards, and the side flairs...

mine was covered in snow most of the time, so no idea on cold or not... :) but then that is normal for the mountains...

Coldest sled ever in the history of sleds. i have a good helmut & warm duds. Handwarmers are typical. Dress warm. if your in the tight & twisties or in powder your gonna be warm from the work out. If your long & strate trails your gonna be cold.

i only really noticed it on cold days riding against a strong wind. you do get hit by a lot of wind in the chest and face compared to some other machines. the stock low windshield is so useless i don't even bother with it anymore since mine gets mostly mountain riding. i did get some handguards for this season to stop some wind from hitting the hands though.

1600kms in 5 days every day minus 30 c winnipeg to orr mn handwarmers broke first day ... i have the tall windshield so its not to bad except on the fast open lake runs disposable handwarmers saved my hands :brrr: :brrr: :brrr: :brrr:

BRRR!

Yup, thats what I thought!
I do have GOOD gear, KLIM everything. I should have no problems keeping dry anyways, thats's 3/4 of the battle to staying warm. So If I take the plunge, I appreciate the honest answers!

If you use a tek-vest and have good gloves/gaunlets you'll be fine with just the shell coat. That's what I ride with, unless of coarse you stick to the grades, then cold it will be. Since you bought a Nytro I'll asume you don't hang out on the grades and lakes.

yep, you definitly upgrade your clothes with a nytro. My hands were cold but with the apex handlebars and warmers I now have no problems with that. Other then that the crotch does get cold..............

The Nytro is for sure a cold ride. It is well documented that the handwarmers do not work. I rode most of the year with gauntlets, and my hands were still cold. I know skyboz got the mid height windshield and he mentioned that the air would hit him directly in the chest.

No i really dont im a big fan of the twisties wish i would have waited though and bought an xtx cuz i get of trail alot

It does! The only thing that gets cold is my shoulders. Other than that it's not too bad! :yam:
