I found a killer deal on 2 brp helmets.
Shame n me I know
Always wanted a modular helmet. Tested red one today. Not a hint of fog up. Even stopping and warming up hands and leaving visor down. Current temps -30's. Black one is brand new, never worn.
![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi42.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fe333%2FBronc11%2FSledding%2F0850C862-A322-4C07-BE25-28F286D7C655.jpg&hash=8a01473df52ce3f14b03225b0adf83c5)
So I've created a poll to see what everyone uses out there. Take a second to share your taste and elaborate on what type you choose for what type of day your heading out on.
Myself, exploring and finding powder to play in I use my klim with Scott goggles. Long, trying to make distance runs will include my new modular helmets. Warmer (proven today) and much better vision in low light to night riding.

It seams heated shields are the best way to protect from fog. I like that there is an option for a heated visor on both those helmets I got. Actually almost 10 years with not many changes to these helmets. Pretty darn good the more I look into them. I ride no matter the temp. Usually the colder the better. Less people on the trails.
Like cannondale lots of little issues with Mx as well.
-30's to cold, have to pull goggles off as soon as you stop or breath really slow through the nose hole in clava lol. Playing in snow or beating up some jumps almost guaranteed fog up. So you pretty much have to pull goggles off to play. Sucks getting snow in the eyes!! Be interesting to see how these two pan out with breathing masks and non heated visors.

2 of my friends have BRP's and swear by them... They both went from electrics because they hated the cord. The cord is I issue to me.

BRP Modular 2, non-electric, best helmet I've ever owned. In hindsight I would have gone with the BV2S for better fitment.

Forgot to mention NO fogging!! Only time you'd be in trouble is getting caught in freezing rain or "wet fog" if that makes sense.

That's the part that worries me. I know exactly what you mean. I'm out in cave now taking apart/adjusting helmet. Led lights workin, fitment is much better. I just cleaned mouth piece and left yesterday for a test rip when I got home. Make sure, I have a plan for when way out and that hits I can keep visor clear.Forgot to mention NO fogging!! I have a BRP TS-1 with elec shield. Like it except for the cord. Also have a new GMAX GM11 for warmer days - playing on the lake.
I had a BRP MX helmet. I could not get used to it with the goggles. Sold it for more than I paid for it. I tried a Zoan modular and hated it - it leaked everywhere and was a poor design, My nephew has a new BRP Modular 3 and it looks like a nice design. Tried it on but haven't ridden with it yet (still no snow!)

I'm prayin to the snow gods here too Cubby!!!
I'm able to get out, and have been but the local quad guys have pulverized the ditches from 12to59, both sides of 44. Then it froze solid. Going to take a couple test runs with adjusted red helmet. I think previous owner just took out of box and put on. Nothing was adjusted, not even the visor. Now it stays down!! Will try that black helmet after that and see how that one does. That one has a tinted visor that flips down as well and it's a dark black.
Brp def has it figured out!! I really want to try their new electric goggles. Now that's the ultimate IMO. Save up for a pair of those babies!!

A few more cms of snow and the ditches will be ready to ride. The river is all jagged from the warm weather.
I pretty much buy all my accessories from BRP. The 1 dealer here has tons of stock and will always match prices.
I wish BRP would have a battery pack for the elec shield like they do with their elec goggles!

I'm kinda done with local dealers. I usually order parts online or when I'm desperate I'll zip into yami dealer in Winnipeg. I was in brp once for a battery issue I just bought for my ole 500ss. Haven't been back since. Didn't even buy my new sled locally. One province over and the prices were totally different.
Yet I'm still a yamaholic!!!!

Interesting to know about the prices. I'm looking to buy a 900 ACE Renegade. Guess I will check around. Thanks for the info.
