After beefing up my suspension, I'm almost ready to install the skid back into my Attak. I have also just installed a brand new Rip II track. I see some guys have the fourth wheel kit so I searched it on here. Some say it is a waste of time while others say it will save your track if you happen to lose a rear wheel. So I'm curious to see how many guys on here have this and if it is a worth while upgrade. I can do the mod myself, just need the extra wheel. Thanks

If you already have the skid out it is cheap insurance if you ask me.

I have done it on all my sleds, helps the sled roll better,

The fourth wheel is probaly more important when running a studded track. Helps keep it lined up so the story goes.

My friends RTX outer wheel came off once & if it wasn't for his 4th wheel kit, it would have destroyed his track & probably worse. He drove home no problems. I ordered kit next day...

Nuff said. I have already ordered the extra wheel. From what I gather, I have to make the short spacer 24mm and the bearing is 12mm wide, so I can do the math and make the longer piece to suit. I do plan on studding probably half way through the season when the trails tighten up.. As already mentioned by smokum, its good insurance.

I added it as well when I had my suspension out. Can't hurt. Like others have said, if you loose either outer wheel, you can still get back.
