anytime A arms are HIGHER then LEVEL to ground, you have a higher center of gravity and you just LOST the best cornering sled feel....ski lift is then worse.
Set them level to ground(35-40max) add a 13mm bar and you got the best cornering sled ive owned to date.Including the machRT.Dont forget the pilot skis play a huge roll in this combo.
Danos RTX(left) and my RTX center....set to 35-40 with weight off sled....notice LEVEL A arms..this is when they hande best overal...no bottoming for me either.

when i first got my sled..i knew about lowering it....then the following weekend i went on a 3 day trip and read someone here said to go to 60 lbs...
So i thought OK,ill try that...i went to 60 lbs, left on trip WITHOUT PUMP!....OMG i nearly rolled it when at first corner..i was so used to the lowered version i was riding the week before..LOL.
so i had to LEARN how to ride this taller sled all over...for a 3 day trip..sucked!.
got home, got pump..went back to 35ish lbs and never have i gone higher...this thing is on rails.
bottom the pan?..LOL...how the heck could you do that?...for the pan to hit you would have to remove the shocks altogether.....unless youre on some really seriously humped out trials where skis are lower...i cannot see how you could hit pan..
Ive POUNDED mine through some real JUNK this season FAST..and sure ive hit some hard holes but still, those FLOATS just suck it up to its max...bottoming?..maybe..but pan hitting?...come on...lol.
Anytime we setup another buddy to LEVEL A ARMS on ANY MODEL APEX...they come back smiling!...

Count me in on my SMILE! Best thing you can do to this sled without costing any money is lower the front end to level. Now I just wish they made a Fox Float for the rear Mono!

You know guys,it just does not make sense to set them off the ground,or inside at room temp. do you ride at room temp, and do you ride with your skis in the air? Now i have a very good fox float tech. that has been revalving shocks for years and worked for cat for 5 years. and he adjusts them on the level ground, just make sure they are on a level surface, and what ever you now set them at,is what they really are set at,70 lbs on the ground is 70 lbs,on the ground where we use them, not 70 lbs in the air,and now they hit the ground and grow to 100lbs,i just make sure they are even 70 in left and 70 in right, let it fly.

Be careful about running the fox floats to low on pressure, and pounding them thru the nasty bumps,i just got off the phone with ross at hygear,he stated he has had alot of the fox floats apart this year from yammis, and they dont have anykind of bump stop built into them, and because they dont, those that were run low and pounded had seal problems,so its just a word of caution.

I agree with this, my question is, (for your tech) if the shocks are rated at 150psi and you have them set at 95psi (on the ground) when you hit a good bump can this mak them compress and exceed the 150psi rating, knowing that just setting the front end on the ground adds 25-30psi, what does a good bump do?

I have also wondered if running low psi has anything or adds to the risk of bent arms, this is thier only support.
