I have an 06 apex with the fox floats on the front and noticed a bit of oil on the shaft that slides in and out. I am assuming the seals are going bad and was wondering who to take them to to rebuild or can I do it myself. Is there any issues with these shocks? I just bought this and have not ridden it yet. My previous rx1 needed revalved on the rear but that was a whole different deal. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Is it just one shock or both? If one is leaking shock oil I'd bet it has a blown seal. Floats are like any other shocks and need rebuilding from time to time. Carver Performance is awesome with floats. Also, fox has a service center you could send them to in Brainerd, MN. Either can rebuild or even upgrade your floats to better valving and even put canisters on them like Evols.

You need to remove the air sleeve to determine if the shock is blown. Check the Float owners manual and it will describe how to, I can attach it as the file is too big.
