I did a project last year and used a set of near perfect Fox Floats on my SXR700... But the floats I have are 17" center to center. They are too long for my old sled so I am looking for a set of the fronts from a Phazer that is 16" fully extended. First one to agree to trade gets dibs.
The shocks have 1260miles on them.
Thanks!

The shocks on my '07 FX are only roughly 14" ctc, what year Phazers have longer ones? You can't under inflate them an inch to fit?
Too bad, I'd have traded....

Phazer MTX = Extended length: 15.50"
Phazer RTX and Gt = Extended length: 15.90"
This was what I found on the net

I tried under inflating, but then you can bottom out easier and it affects your ski pressure.. When you should be running at 65-70psi I am having to run at 25-30 to get ride hide correct. If I inflate to 70 my rear end is closer to coupling if that makes sense. And this is with a Polaris Pro/X Skid in back...

I thought the SX-R chassis had shocks just over 17" from the factory (Mine did) Or did you use the SRX short travel shock mount to get rid of the clevis style mount and need a shorter shock to fit?

You are correct, I used old SX shock mounts to get rid of the clevis style mount. That was my error when I made the switch.. I thought I could compensate with air pressure or just not have to worry about it... but it turns out you do.... I could either get good cornering or good bump absorbing but not both. This change should do that for me by allowing me to run at proper shock pressure.

I am definetly only looking to trade for this shock...
Phazer RTX and Gt = Extended length: 15.90"
Someone will be able to add 1" of travel to the front of their 4 stroke.... My old style 2 stroke can't handle it

what are the shocks off of? (oem vehicle)
want to be sure they will fit mounting wise.
have a set on my 08 RTX. no leaks or anything.
one tiny nic on the left shock.
what shape are yours in?

I bought them from a guy that tried putting them on his four wheeler so not sure which OEM but I brought them to my shock guy who checked them out and all was good. The only thing I did for a perfect mounting on mine was machined delrin spacers to fit my mounting bracket. Give me the width of your mounting bracket and I can make sure they will work or I can make you custom ones. (I am an engineer with access to equip)
Mine are in great shape, low miles and one nick on the upper left near the top.
17" from eye to eye at full stroke. I have the pump but I am sure you do too so no need to trade that part. No leaks even when we rode in vermillian last year when it was -29.
not sure what else I can say about them, and I hate to give up an inch...
but I want to get it dialed in perfect.

#1 the length of a shock does NOT tell you the travel of it.You need to remove the outer sleeve and measure exposed shaft to find the travel. You may find that even though a OEM Phazer shock is shorter it may have more travel.
#2 If travel is found to be more than a stock Phazer shock the Float could easily be shortened to attain stock travel. Both up and down travel are very important since if to much up travel sled may hit ground at full travel. If too much downtravel ball joints could be stressed. In both cases tierods may hit if travel isnt right.
