Om Im not very convinced on the fox front shocks on the RTX so would you keep them, go to Nitro or GT front shocks?
I ride trails but sometime like to push it hard.
My G/F had fox shocks on her old A/C and they sucked #*$&@, are the new ones better?
Do they need rebuilding or are they good?
Scott

Scott, these Yami spec floats are much better.
Somebody told me they have a negative force spring in them.
Many things are different including seals.

Viper 34 has pounded the floats for thousands of miles
says it is his favorite shock, especially for big bumps because they are the best at anti-bottoming. :D

Prolly no need to worry, give em a chance

Try some sleds out on a TY ride this season. Or wait to see what folks here have to say. Don't run out and buy something, wait and see how it pans out.

doesn't the nytro have the floats also???

I too had the same concerns. However at one of the shows i talked with a factory rep for a while about the problems my cat buddies have had with Fox shocks. He did comment these are not your cat fox shocks. Yamaha made some specs for Fox and this shock is supposed to be much better. Don't know if this is BS, but i think i am going to try them on my RTX. The idea behind them is good and they are supposed to be an aggressive shock. If they work like yam says, they are going to be one of the best shocks available this year.

Talked to my dealer last night...he said Yamaha tested the floats for five years. Specs are different than Cat.
