Fox floats with nitrogen ???

Is it ok to replace the air in the fox float shocks with nitrogen? Thinking it could be better since nitrogen doesn't absorb moisture.

it won't hurt - nitrogen is inert - you will still have air in it as without a way to vacuum it down to zero bar it will have air in it.

Many shock rebuilders actually fill the Floats with nitrogen on purpose. They do it because nitrogen is more stable with temperature change vs regular air. Therefore, when the outside conditions change, or heat builds in the shocks, the pressure in your Floats won't be affected as much.

the air around us is 78% nitrogen so most of it is nitrogen already.

One positive with a air shock is the harder you use it the hotter it gets which raises the pressure of the air in shock this is good since it can prevent bottoming when used hard and make ride softer when taking it easy and shock cools.Negative is more pressure makes rebound faster and ride height higher.Nitrogen will not expand nearly as much as air with heat it also has bigger molecules so will tend to not leak out as easy.Personally I would use Nitrogen since I have it and I think potential benefits outweigh negatives.Reality for all but pro racers it probably isnt even noticeable by me or 90% of riders.

As stated above, there is no way to achieve 100% nitrogen into your shocks so you might as well just use plain old air
