Fox Mega Float

Ding your on the ball,

I noticed when I set the shock up at a certain psi with no weight (just lift the bumper enough to take the weight off) that it always goes up about 10 psi when I release the bump without me on the sled..

So you are right and it's just a matter of finding that all out and go from there..

If that will work we will have the ultimate skid for ride comfort hands down..

I am new to the Fox Floats so go easy on me . . .

I am sitting here wondering why you couldn't note the corresponding psi with the weight of the sled on it after setting it to the nominal value while suspended (no weight). It seems that there would be a simple conversion factor involved.

You could set it at several psi values that you would normally use and then simply note the corresponding psi for each "setting" with the sled and maybe even the rider sitting on it. Then you would just use the "corrected" values while riding. It is just a number after all isn't it?

My experience is it does not correlate well and psi readings not accurate under loads. Sorry. It seems like it would. Others experiences may vary.

Hey Super Sled,

if you are riding and finding the rear a little to stiff,
if you just release the air just a tab with the button would that help? or it just doesn't work that way..

Thanks Fabio

to adjust front floats out on trail i just find a plowed snowbank and ride up and just over so front hangs off bank. You just have to find the balance point and its easy to get all pressure off shocks.

From what I saw that would technically happen/ work if you pressed the button down when buzzing down the trail, but I bet Ulmer would tell you not to do that. For one, I think the air comes out fast, so what if all the air/ way too much air shot out. And unless you were stopped and pressure was off the shock how would then know what the exact pressure was remaining in the Megafloat.

These are just my humble thoughts, I'm no expert or Fox professional. i truly wish there was some way to adjust this shock on the fly, when cruising down the trail. But i don't think that can be built the way the Megafloat shock works when moving down the trailover bumps/ constantly working.
