I just received my racing intake kit from Fix PowerSport. Fairly simple kit (3 individual intakes for each cyl.) Just wanting to see if anyone has the kit or heard about the kit and if its a decent product.. Seems very well built and i could see it as an easy way to make a few extra ponies and shed a bit of weight. And am i going to need some sort of fuel controller to run them? Also would it be a good idea to play around with them now or wait until my sled has a few kms on it? Only has 11 kms on it right now. Finished putting the Super Q Shorty Pipe on today and it sounds amazing and is half the weight of the old silencer. Very pleased. Just dont know if its the right time to play around with a new intake or wait it out before playing with air/fuel ratios...

if there anything like Ulmer Racing's k&n's set up i do not believe you HAVE to have a programmer unless you add a header although it is recommended to have one. His set up adds 3-5 horse power. I am not sure what the Fix powersport intakes are though so i am not sure what those make for power.

Had a better look at the filters sent and found that they were normal filters at one time with the ends cut out for a straight stream of air to pass through.. basically making the air filter itself pointless.. and all thats keeping snow out of the intake itself is a thin nylon screen... not liking this setup at all.. i can understand why they call it a race intake now.. because besides flat out on a lake for ice drags or in the summer for grass drags with no real threat of snow entering the intake.. sketchy for a long track machine in a few feet of powder. Im gonna have a look at this Ulmer Racing K&N setup closer and look for other alternatives... I'll run the stocker for now.. And anyone looking for an intake mod for their ice drag sled.. Let me know!
