Getting ready to order some decent bushings for my front end for this season, Anyone have any experience with both oilite and nylatron bushings? Just wondered which one lasts better, or what the differences are?
bushings
Oilite from Ulmer Racing, works awesome.

i just installed ulmers oilite bushings today on my lunch break, looks like they will work alot better than the junk plastic ones that came out.

Wow, I must be really slow. Took me a 1/2 day to rip apart, and put togather.
Everything went great with Ulmer's, I think it will be a big improvement.

With air or electric impacts it's much faster than just a wrench and ratchet, they sure will be much better than the factory ones as I changed mine as well.....Don't feel bad it took me an hour but I'm just slow and like to recheck everything along the way

Bountyhunter, just curious if you have a link/pics of the bushing replacement?
I have considered doing my Vector but not knowing exactly how to go about it, plus the fact my sled only has 2,100 miles, I figured I would wait another year?

Here is what the kit looks like, as you get repacement bushings for the Bulk Head [front and back], A Arm [upper & lower] & Spindles
Go to page 17 of my build to see some of it. If you PM me I can take you through it step by step as it's really quite simple....Heck I Did It

well i had all the plastics off for an oil change already and i did use a small 18v electric impact. what really helped was i had an assortment of long bolts threaded all they way down, 2 big flat washers and a few nuts to take up space. threw the new bushings in, bolt with washers both ends and a nut and just pull the trigger on the gun and wamo pressed them right in nice and even. i did not put the plastics back on yet, so alls i did in an hour was remove the old bushings and install the new ones..

on the ulmer directions it says to put the bushings in from the inside out. this takes up alot of slop doing it like this. The way it comes from the factory is very sloppy from the day you bring it home.Is the new iron comin the same way? and why would the factory design in so much movement?? check you ski adjustments after doing the bushings, mine was way out from the years of abuse I guess? I have a set of ulmers bushings on order. Should be in by the end of next week along with my yamacharger and clutch kit. Can't wait to get her all back together, our trails open in 3 & 1/2 weeks. (snow willing)

I have had both the nylatron and ulmers and I run the Ulmer oilite bushings they tighten things up so much on the front end it was amazing and cured my darting issues (on top of the other mods I did for darting)

I put in the pioneer set tightened it back up. the upper A-arm still has a little play in it from front to back. I'm going to take them out and place the upper A-arm bushing in from the inside. I'm sure that will be enough to take the play out.
