Well I was out riding today and the trails were pretty choppy in sections and when I got back to the smooth trails I noticed a popping noise coming from the front end, if I stand on one side of the running boards and bounce up and down it will make the popping noise, I put the sled on the stand to check for play. There is play in pretty much every joint, I just replaced the upper and lower ball joints and long as the a arm bushings like 3000 km ago and it cost way more then I expected. Anyway I am not sure what's causing the popping noise, I did notice if I grab my sway bar link I can shift it back and forth, (play back and forth where it runs through subframe) I would think it should be tight?

Check your front end bolts AGAIN!. I put Blue lock tight on this summer and one of my front bolts still had back off. Found this yesterday as I was trying to mount my mountain skis. Front was a little sloppy. Checked front left bolt was loose.

Most of us have used red Loctite on those bolts when installing new oil-lite A-arm bushings.Dodge Ram said:Check your front end bolts AGAIN!. Did not want to use Red as I know it requires a lot more tugging to break it loose. I did see some grease or oil on that bolt when I removed it. Probably did not make a good bond. Other bolt still tight with blue.

I can push and pull my sway bar ski to ski roughly 3/4". The bushings maybe shot? Can you move yours this much?

Anyone else? I haven't had time to take the sled apart to check the sway bar bushing or stop at the dealer to talk to them about it since works been super busy. Could anything get ruined by driving the sled when the sway bar has side to side play? Now that the sled is all thawed out and i jump around on it I don't hear that pop noise? Maybe it will come back once I start riding again, not sure.
