I am getting a zx2 skid for my 03 rx1 and now I want to do something with the front suspenssion to help compliment it. What options do I have for a better shock up front.
I have Ohlins for a Rx 1 that have 1 inch shorter rod ends on them. If interested, pm mez

Thanks but I am just looking for the best options at the moment and what kind of prices to expect to pay, new and used. Will have to wait till next year to buy.

What about fox floats. How do they compare to the stock rx shock and the ohlins shock for ride and adjustability. Are they actualy charged with air or a more stable gas for the cold.

I have had both Ohlins and Fox and prefer the fox. You can't bottom those things out and it's really nice being able to adjust them by simply changing the air pressure.

I was on the fox site and could only find the for rx1 mountain sleds, not the standard models. Would the apex ones work for the rx1. I was told that the apex shocks are 1" shorter than the rx1 shocks.
I talked to a guy with shock tec in ontario and said that the stock shocks can be revalved to perform quite well and it would be cheap to do. I might try that route first, I dunno. I would just like to get the fox shocks but money has a way of slowing decisions like this down. These sleds are just as much fun to tinker with as they are to drive. It's amazing how much money you can spend on them. I really hate all the decisions that have to be made but what I hate more is trying to expaining to the wife why I need this stuff.

Check these guys out http://www.h2rfoxshox.ca/
They are the Canadian Distributors for Canada, they have them for the RX 1. I bought mine through them. The floats are a little pricey, but I love the way they perform.

I did some more talking with the shock tec guy. He told me that he could garuantee me that he could get my stock rx1 shock working just as good as an "off the shelf" fox float just by revalving it correctly.
