float float x evols...........just got them late last year (race take-offs) amazing. you can kit yourstock ones with an evol kit, cannisters (with adjustments) and re-valving etc....
I have more miles on my Evol X shocks than any others. They are great shocks, but I think for the money you can get a better shock.
I ran Elka's all last season and I am very impressed with them so I will be putting them on my Viper this year.
Telling your riding conditions and what you need our of a shock is very important in your decision. A mountain guy like myself has a lot different needs in a shock than a cross country racer. But I'd assume since its in the mountain section you're looking for something for your mountain sled.

Hey Rick
Thank you for the insight I appreciate your comments and experience in sledding. I agree with you on the fact that conditions you ride in and where you ride play a huge part in what shock package you should go with. I was mainly interested in finding out in a general sense of what other people were using and why they were using them more then people helping me decide on what shock package I should choose I have heard some good things about the Elka shocks as well. I just forgot to add it to my list
Just for conversation sake i ride trails to get into the back country and I have never been a very aggressive rider. I am by no means an expert, far from it but do enjoy good performance out of what i ride. I perfer to ride smooth and with finesse. I have found that the Air shocks are a little too progressive for my riding style and tough to dial in onn my nytro. That is the main reason why I am looking to switch shocks.

You could have your 08 fox shocks revalved and have remote reservoirs added to improve them. Just an idea.

I looked into that options and it will run $500 when it is all said and done and I still have older shocks with older technology. Yes! parts of them would be new but parts of them would be old My thinking is if i am going to spend that much i could throw a little more money in the pot and buy new shocks with newer technology
I may end up updating what i have nowb but I was just looking at options and thought I would ask the question to see what other people are using and why they like using them.

I'm running exits with triple rate springs. I got mine from monster performance, like most shock shops they will build them for your riding style.
