Well, the new left over 2011 Nytro finally has about 300 miles on her now and LOVE it!! I noticed one thing today about the rear skid that I'd like to adjust though. I went over a couple of approaches and got a couple feet of air but upon landing noticed that the front skid shock bottomed out both times. So far I've left all the supension at factory settings until I get comfortable with the sled. I've been reading several posts and want to confirm what to do to correct the bottoming.
From what I have read and understand, I should increase the compression setting only on the front skid shock to solve the bottoming right? My first reaction would be to tighten the front spring but this will actually change the weight transfer right? I don't want to change cause it's set pretty good right now, just the bottoming.
Am I understanding this clicker adjustment right? Compression is the main thing that will control bottoming(limit the flow of oil, slowing the compression of the shock..) and not the spring rate? Also noticed on the same landings that the fronts shocks were a little soft too, same process for the front shocks as well then?
I weigh 195lbs without gear on and have the rear torsion springs at medium. I find it handles all the bumps nice and firm except the jumps.

found out the same thing you did on the front shock last year, the front shock has to weak of a spring and valving, i had hygear revalve and put a dual rate spring setup up on it as well as revalve the rear shock, 250 miles and no more bottoming the front skid and sled rides way better -- front shock package will set you back 150 bucks it is worth it

Yamaha put a wet noodle in the sled for a center shock spring. Send it to Schmidt Bros. for real spring and a revalve to acommadate the spring, it will handel much better. The rule is, Springs control the load, Shocks control the springs.

Star suspension XTX kit + revalve...I weigh 300lbs with gear and after the kit and revalve I can now run the skid on the soft setting and I haven't bottomed yet.

I'm a little confused though, should I not try to change my stock settings first and if I can't stiffen it up enough then look at a revalve and new spring?

Yes I would try playing with your shock settings 1st just go 1 or 2 clicks at a time, makes a big differance. I like to adjust until you go past what you like softer or firmer and then go back 1. Can't hurt playing with settings just make small adjustments and 1 thing at a time then try it and see how it feels, this will help you learn what each setting does.
