I have recently started getting the warning light flashing at 1/2 second intervals and the fuel indicator flashing from zero to full bars and the little fuel pump icon coming on. I was going to test the ohms at the fuel tank as shown in the shop manual and try to determine if the problem is in the tank. After reading the thread on wiring problems with the temp indicator I think maybe the problem is in the wiring to the dash display from the tank. Has anyone else had this problem?
How could I test the wiring to the display for OHMs

look for wire nicks
Check your wire harness in the nose under the tool/storage compartment. I just found an issue with my low coolant light yesterday. The cable harness rubs on the metal bracket that supports the nose and belly pan. There are sharp edges around the cut out holes in the bracket. This cuts through the wires and grounds them out. I have heard of lots of other issues caused by this problem. Good luck...
