SELF-DIAGNOSIS WARNING INDICATOR AND THE WARNING LIGHT

i noticed right after when i start my 03 rx1 er the SELF-DIAGNOSIS WARNING INDICATOR AND THE WARNING LIGHT come on for a second and go out . is this normal ? it does not stay on continously flashing or anything . is this the machines way of checking everthing when starting up first?it comes on with one quick flash then goes out. by the way this site rules!!!!!!!!!

yes it is a self diagnosis when you first start the machine
