Curious how many miles a person can expect with the Apex on groomed trail. I have never really let it get that low to find out, but just curious.

A few years ago I found out my 06 attak went 144 miles on a tank. The gas station was 146 miles .

I got towed the last two miles by my wife. Once she started towing me she never looked back or stopped even when the tow rope got looped around one ski and she was towing me through the bushes on the side of the trail.

Install a horn on that thing like I did ;)!

I did 140 on a tank and took 9.5 gals at fill up. I rode with a real light thumb to do it though...

All depends on how you ride & snow conditions. I would start looking for gas around 120 miles & panic if I hit 130 & no gas. Ran out once at 132 miles 2 miles from gas station & never pushed it again. Seems my mpg has gone up since then often getting 15mpg but 120 mile range is safe bet.

The gas light always comes on at around 110-115miles or 175 to 185kms then you have 10 liters or 2.5 gallons left to go another 30mile or 50km ish.
my light comes on almost every time i ride as we like to do 220 to 250km (135 to160 miles)day rides.
only ran out once 3k from the gas station.
22,000km on it or 14,000miles ish.

oh and my country can go back to the imperial form of measurement any time now.

think it also depends on the year my 06 has a bigger tank than the 08's i believe, normal trail driving have seen 220km and rolled into station on fumes mileage has gone down a bit due to 144 studs but no problem doing 200km before i even think of fuel

I have pushed 140 miles on hard packed good trails. I just plan my trips based on 125 and no more ( When I can) but I have my extra 1.5 gallon Koplin tank that gives me an cushion. Back country riding is the tough one....... Gas is hard to find for sure. ;)!

I believe if you have power steering you have an even smaller tank, 120 miles is questionable. Sad that a few years ago Yamaha always had the greatest range, now days I am always one of the first to need gas.

I too have had one nervous tank that made144, I am comfortable up to about 130, then I am pushing it. This is packed trail cruising not pushing fresh snow or deep into throttle all day.

well i generaly dont ride for fuel economy so i get about as bad as possible fuel millage out of every toy i have ever owned. on my 07 apex it was lil more then 120 a tank full it was prety consistant at 10-12 mpg for me. but that is ridding all or nothing all the time.
