Took a few Phazers out for a boot at our local demo rides and had a great time. Think it makes a great second sled to zip through the bumps and twisties. The FX seemed to be the one I liked best.
I’m curious on what type of range everyone is experiencing on the 30 L tanks? Would I get 100 miles if I were heavy on the throttle?
Thanks
Dan

On my first tank of gas got 17 mpg and went 120 miles with 3/4 of a gallon left. I wasn't balls out but close so I can't believe you won't get 100 miles out of it. "With the sled wide open allot." ![4strokes :4STroke: :4STroke:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/4strokes.gif)

I am easily getting 100 miles on a tank while agressive trail riding. Averaging 17/18 mpg.

Same on my fx, 17/18 mpg.

seems like good fuel economy! I also seen a sticker by fuel tank that it requires 91 octane?
I sometimes only have the option for garbage fuel, hope it does well with 87-89.

Over 100 miles easy on my FX
I've had similar fuel economy as the other posts with my FX while riding open trails with the big iron.Dano said:seems like good fuel economy! I also seen a sticker by fuel tank that it requires 91 octane?

Translation: I spent most of the time with the throttle pinned whilst watching all my Apex friend's tail lights and snow dust disappear into the distance and wishing that I had brought mine.

As for the 91 octane, the Phazer engine prefers that level but will derate with lower octane. If the fuel is real bad you'll get a warning light. For what it's worth, I ran a tank of 87 at mostly WOT and never saw the "knock" light. It does seem a lot more "crisp" with the proper fuel though.
Hope that helps answer your question.

In deep powder all day I get about 125 km's (78 Miles) to a tank of fuel.
On hard packed taking it easy all day (who wants to do that?? lol) I've gotten 185 km's (116 Miles)
All this on my Mtn Lite.

Yes I can picture that on our lakes lol. I’m not really sure if I want to be that black dot in the horizon in the middle of the lake while everyone is waiting on shore, but these Phazers will eat the Apex on our twisty trails which get ruff quickly. Hard to believe I can scoop up a Phazer cheaper then a turbo mod for my Apex. Being so close to the release of the 08s, I think it may be worth the wait for a bit more muscle in a Phazer like chassis. Maybe a 120-130 Phazer like sled and add boost? Hmmmm. In that case I won’t need my Apex. I'll eagerly wait a few more weeks..

Haven't done the math on mine. Doesn't seem too bad except when pinned (11000 plus rpm) Thats to be expected!
