It should be a direct bolt on, I was going to do mine and the guy that had the larger tank sold it before I could get my hands on it...

Thanks,I got mine from a turbo installer on Ebay, he had 3 of them, it was a great deal, $150.00 for everything,..pump,lines,sender,foam,cap.
only thing he didn't include was fuel!!

That's right, starting in 2008 they are approx .6 gal less capacity due to Gov't regs for vapour permiation, the new ones are thicker and I think have some sort of lining

That's how I feel too, besides, when I'm out riding ,the fuel isn't in the tank long enough to worry about vapours getting through!!!

I think I'll live with the .6 less fuel. Not worth the headache and cost to me.

I always go on long rides where fuel stops are sparce, that extra 1/2 gal makes a big diff. especially after coming off a Warrior with a larger tank

I too couldn't justify the cost even with a great deal? A rack would be cheaper then you could set a small jug on it or use for storage.....half a gallon isn't much to bad they weren't 8 gallon tanks I'd trade mine in a minute for a smaller/lighter 8 gallon tank!
