Have anybody have the full power turbo kit for the apex? The one I was looking at is the 270hp kit with low compression pistons... Suppose to be able to run premium gas! Sounds good if it's reliable!

I have the 270HP kit on my 06 Apex converted to an Attak, engine built with the their rods and turbo pistons, upgraded to a 2860 turbo and their trail muffler.
The kit has great fit and finish, great craftmanship, I don't notice a lag with that rear mount setup and the tunnel snow intercooler works surprisingly well. I can't speak enough for the tech support and above and beyond customer service I have always gotten from FPP, it has been priceless at critical times.
Now have 3 seasons actually trail riding in NY at 12 lbs boost, 270HP on premium pump gas found at typical stops on the trail. It's an absolute handful at that power level, almost too much, but actually get pretty close to the same fuel mileage as some of the stockers i ride with if I can manage to restrain myself from squeezing the "blurr lever".
It wacks just about anything I've come across and lined up with on the trail, except for maybe another bigger turbo sled and definitely have found out that anything supercharged doesn't stand a chance against it...
The lakes are another story, there is always someone with something bigger and more powerful, but I acknowledge that most of them aren't real trail machines like my FPP so I don't even try to compare or whine if I get beat.
I have done a few snow drag races with it now, setting it on kill by just cranking up the boost, running good race fuel, and just throwing more weight at the clutching... after the race just put it back to trail mode, suck out the race fuel and I'm back riding miles again.
The only issues I struggled with was initially when I first built it was I monkeyed with the fuel controller settings and spark plug choice away from what FPP recommended, because I obviously knew how to make it better. The result was it disappointingly ran like dog crap at the first Old Forge Boosted Sled Shootout I took it to. That was all my own fault and resolved that after the fact by going back to their settings and specs, going on from there.
The second issue had been coolant over temp, but that was more due to the fact I didn't install a rear heat exchanger with the conversion at the time than a fault of the FPP kit's design. The resultant increase in HP just amplified the issue that was already there stock... Actually picking up my sled from FPP tonight, just had them install that rear heat exchanger finally.
I see you are in Newfoundland, there is a hill drag racer there Todd Parsons who has the same exact setup as I do on his 2010. Look him up and get his honest opinion, he's not gentle on his machines by any means.

Thanks for the info.. I'm glad it's working good. Been looking for a big Hp kit that could run pump gas for a long time. I have a yamacharger now, didn't know about full power at the time. The yamacharger works but not what I'm looking for. I have the rear heat exchanger, so that's a bonus. Todd Parsons, is he on this site?

attak 06,
I am not sure if he is a TY member or not, but I will PM you with his business info so maybe you can look him up. I am sure he would be glad to share his FPP experiences with you, as well.
