Anyone else have or know why our 2004 shorty make a funny noise and doesn't want to move when you slide it sideways in some snow?Could this be because of all the snow pushing under it?Is this wierd none of the other sled havent done this yet and the rx-1 has done it 4 times??

Are you talking about the squeaky noise? That would be the track rubber rubbing on the sliders. Difference is that RX1 track is clipped every third, likely all your other sleds were fully clipped.

nope not the squeek it sounds more like the drivers and slipping and the sled barely moves you back it up 2 ft and its good to go? Strange?

Are your gears not meshing properly? Maybe you're hearing the reverse gears slipping in the chaincase? I can't imagine what that would have to do with moving it sideways though....
Are you using the reverse gear (equipped?) to back it up, or are you pulling it by hand? If you lock the brakes from a speed where the secondary is shifted partway out, then the belt may remain low in the secondary, which can make it very hard to get the machine moving again. That would definitely give you a "funny noise" and prevent it from moving.
I guess this is the key question: Are you moving it sideways by skidding with the brake locked?

I seem to remember a previous post similar to this before the site crashed last year. It was a post about someone locking up their brakes and not releasing right away. I have had this problem before on my RX-1 mtn while locking the track up to try and get snow to lubricate my slides on the trail. This could be the same problem you are having while sliding it sideways.
Edit; I have never come to a complete stop while doing this and allways heard a clunk when the brake let go of the caliper. Try this and see if you experience the same thing.

LB is correct, it is the belt, it can stick low between the sheaves.

My son does that all the time...comes to a skidding stop. The belt doesn't get shifted out all the way, so it's like starting in 2nd gear.
