I know this is somewhat off topic, but I ask anyway:)

On friday a friend of me and I will go pick up our new sleds, my friend is buying a brand new RS Venture TF and I`m getting a brand new RX-1.

Our problem is that we don`t know if both of the sleds will fit inside our trailer. The drive to the shop takes around 2 hours (one way), so right now I am trying to figure out if they will fit, if they don`t, my friend will pick up his tomorrow, then we will pick up mine on friday so that we wount have to drive the same road several times on friday:).

The width of the trailer is 1.80cm (70.87inches) and the length is 3.25cm(128inches) .

I know this is a wierd question, but isn`t so easy to figure out without testing with the sleds.

I don`t think the length of the trailer will be the problem, because we can always let the skis pop out of it at the rear. I guess the Venture will be placed with the front in the right corner, then we will put the RX-1 in with the front facing the rear of the trailer .

The RS Venture is 321cm long (126.4inches) , 127cm (50inches) (at the skis I guess)

The RX-1 is 275cm long (108inches) and 121cm (47.64inches) wide.

I made this drawing (yes, in a hurry) .

Are there others out there with trailer issues?

Personally I don`t think they will fit.. do you ?

:rocks:

:D

Not sure if they'll fit as diagramed or not but you'd better have a cover for the RX-1 or I definitely would NOT try it. The wind will wreak havoc on your windshield/hood pulling it backward unless it's covered.

A buddy of mine found that out the hard way a few years back

Grassfirebob, the trailer has a "cap" , it`s not open..

Ok Lazybastard, I guess you are right:)

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

I got a good idea. Take the trailer and try it because you'll be there anyway at that point.

You must be Ukrainian like me.....

Get the dealer to take one of them for you or both. If you are buying two I think it would be in his best interest. I would take the advise if you are buying these with your buddy your going to need a trailer anyway so buy one.

Ok eveyone seems to agree:)

Yes ofcourse we will try to put both in it, the reason for me wondering on this at this time, has to do with the planning of the day, I have to skip school etc. and so on . My friend (actually my boss at the supermarked where I work) drives a 2004 Toyota Landcruiser that I recently mounted a chip in:) Don`t think the towing itself will be a problem:)

I would say......go rent a pickup from U-haul, or a box truck for that matter...whats that cost, 20.00 a day or something? Or...rent a pickup from Home Depot, put one sled in the back and the other on the trailer......anything to make you only make one trip. ;)!

played the game with the wifes venture rs and it will not fit with a rx unless you have a 10'- 11' long trailer with a tall back on the encloser

i think he was wondering about the tow vehicle, because if you had a truck you could just put the RX in the bed.
