Take off the fairings , air box cover , pull the 2 rubber caps in the box , use a ball end allen wrench , undo the 3 allen bolts ( bright stainless color , 1 centre and 2 under the caps ) that attach it to the throttle bodies , unhook tke 2 hoses and wiring , remove.
Like a post earlier (I did it ) , if you pull trying to get it off , not knowing about the 3 allen screws , you will , quite easily pull the throttle bodies off the intake manifold !!

I think the Phazer air box has some room for modification. The intake at the bottom, underneath the filter, looks like it can be enlarged for a few ponies.
