FX Nytro Owner Survey: Request From Yamaha

Guys so far I have received about 150 replies to the survey. I need to perform some detailed analysis and I will consider how I can share the results with you. My only concern is not to assist our competitors by sharing our data but I don't think there is any really sensitive content, just need to CMB!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete it. Should have an update later this week.

cheers

Im perfectly ok with an email or phone call regarding my survey input. I'll have plenty of time to chat now since I just rolled my foot and blew out the tendins on the top of my foot stepping off from a landing onto a side walk when I went to pick up my extrovert drivers at the dealer.....

Just completed the survey, wanted to add a few things. I've got 1145 kms on mine to date, riding mostly in powder, sometimes VERY deep, and a bit on groomed trails (to get to the untouched powder of course). IMO, the RTX should have the option to choose the Intense Powder 1.5" lug track on 121" models, my butt dyno is reading at least a 20 hp increase with this track on the sled !!! It's a perfect match for the power and torque of this machine, hook up is amazing in all conditions ! Also, the stock skis hunt unless the rubber blocks inside the saddles are turned around 180 degrees, thus relieving pressure on the front of the skis and applying weight to the rear, kind of like a shim. Overall handling and cornering is not compromised with this modification either, just straight line riding improvement. A wider ski, say around 6" wide would be better for floatation as well, so that could be an option. Handwarmers only work so-so in mild weather, anything around -10C or colder and they're very poor from my experience. And like others have already said, these comments we make are meant to be constructive rider feedback which can only help improve upon this incredible sled, so hopefully nobody takes them the wrong way. Personally, I have my RTX set up the way I like it now, and with the changes I've made...

IT'S BY FAR THE BEST SLED I'VE EVER OWNED !

Thanks for the opportunity to voice our findings Chris ! We look forward to hearing your response and feedback ;)!

my quick plus

I'll skip the negatives and comment on the positives.....a new concept in www world.

Ontario rough trail rider...."hate the groomer".

This is the sled I have been waiting for Yamaha to build,.....period.

I love it. The best ergos in the business & the motor brings miles of smiles.

You really have something with this platform, a little bit of development, some tweaks and this will be the sled others will be measured by.

Couldn't help with not making a comment and discussing some disatisfaction with my sled. Most of my points have been said:
- sliders needed changing at 600KM
- hand warmers need work
-Badly set up from inception - even at first check-up, sled performed even worse with adjustments made
- darting like crazy
- soaked left foot
-new carbides added - no change in performance
-waited weeks for accessories
-throttle sticks while in reverse
Other then that, the engine pulls hard.
This is my first Yamaha and I debated going Apex or Nytro. previous sleds were Cats, Doos, and Polaris,
Thinking about dealing this baby in for an 09. Maybe they'll have the kinks ironed out.

We should have a "end of season" survey now that we all have had time to evaluate our machines. I have few concerns, but am hoping for changes in the future!

Folks I have closed the collector for this survey, we received a lot of responses and good information, now its time to crunch and analyse.
Thanks again...cr ;)! ;)!
Hows the crunchin and analyzing going? Its April now and Im curious what to expect this summer into next fall. thanks

I snow checked the XTX.

Dissapointed that I need to spend extra bucks for a bigger tank, deflectors and windshield. Why not offer these items up front as part of the build? What a waste of $ for a sled that sells for $9500.....

Hope they got the hand warmers sorted out and it dialed in a bit better than the 08's.

Wet weight marketing and stationary looks does not make an effective, ride-able "snowmobile".

My dealer and the pull of the motor was the deciding factor against the 600 Ren Doo
