Hi Guys,

I dont see anything on the forums to tell what the redline is on the genesis 130 motor.

Reason im asking is im doing some math on what pulley I need to run to get x psi of boost on my super charger setup.

If you scroll down to hammers post here

http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... ght=pulley

I'm wondering where Allen got the 12.7 multiplier from, what does that represent?

Obviously I'm having fitment issues with the pulley (its way too large)

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheater... :tg: JK man, I hope you get'r set up soon so we can hear how you like it ! ;)!

I can't seem to find anything anywhere online that indicates the redline. All I need to do is find that out and I can go out buy the correct pulley.

12.7 is the internal speed increaser in the supercharger unit itself. You will want about 8900 RPM Max engine speed. 150,000 rpm max compressor wheel speed.

Basically you want to turn between 130,000 SC RPM and 138,000 SC RPM FOR SEA LEVEL STOCK COMPRESSION

The setups MPI has are

29/23 which is 1.26 x 8500 RPM x 12.7 = 136,000 SC RPM

28/23 which is 1.21 x 8500 RPM x 12.7 = 130,600 SC RPM

But you can run higher RPM to increase the SC speeds as well.

29/23 which is 1.26 x 8700 RPM x 12.7 = 139,600 SC RPM

28/23 which is 1.21 x 8700 RPM x 12.7 = 133,600

The APEX motor to make 7 psi of boost was

24/24 which is 1 x 10500 RPM x 12.7 = 133,350 SC RPM

So the MPI blower at 28/23 SC pulleys should be about right for 7 psi on pump gas maybe 7.5 psi which should be about perfect for 91 octane but I wouldn't hold it to the bar at for longer then 2000' at that boost level with stock compression.

MPI recommends running the nytro between 8500 and 8700 engine RPM. Note other pulleys are available I only calculated out compressor speeds etc for the use of pump fuel shooting for 7 psi, 5 or 6 psi can be achieved as well to allow for less power and octane requirement. However the stock gears which come with the MPI kit are 23 and 31 giving a compressor speed of 148,000 at 8700 RPM. So we are at the compressor limit with those gears of a stage 1 kit.

Allen, called you last night,....I would like to know redline, horsepower numbers, and peak rpm/torque.

Thanks buddy!
