I like alot of stuff about the rtx, but switched with my son today first time this year I got back on the 07 ptec wow I need to soften the rtx up I've got every thing as soft as it gets I'm wondering if it's the seat as it feels much firmer I'm 230 riding, other than that I thought I had it dialed in pretty good, 400 miles, are the std springs softer? by the way they are dead even till 100mph raced many times, the little eng that could and does.

Yea,Its made to be ridden hard so its got to be stiff. Are you studded? Because the Nytro beats just about every stock sled in a short distance.

you're probably right, I think I'm getting a little old for this type of banger, I didn't tell the whole story I tweaked (stiffened) the torsion springs after 200 miles and might have over did it, I'm gonna try to change it back a little before I give up. but the mod was very effective.

You probably bought the wrong sled. If I drive my nytro easy it bucks the crap outa me. The harder I drive it, the smoother it becomes & the more I like it This sled ain,t meant for Sunday cruisin!!!!

LMAO alot of people bought the wrong model

Then yamaha will have left a giant hole in their lineup for the other sled makers, the rev was/is an awesome sled, crossfire and IQ are not to bad either, I sure won't be riding a 1ton.

Soften the springs up.What do you have your compression and rebound set too?How many clicks.

With all the people frustrated with their suspensions, don't you think it would be wise for yamaha to release a new updated SUSPENSION TUNING VIDEO!! I'm am not a suspension guru, but I know what crap is, and honestly, the handling/suspension is crap. I think the thing that upsets me most is all the spring demo reviews how everyone raved how great the suspensions were. Well, final product is not up to many peoples expectations, and I think we all need a lesson on what does what and how to set up our sled ourselves. Nobody seems to know squat right now and everybody is adjusting damn near everything that there is to adjust.

sorry had to vent, I feel better now. PS - I love my nytro even if it has bucked me off twice :o|

A lot of people that bought this sled bought the wrong model & would have been happier with an apex/vector. You gotta drive this sled like a rental to get it,s full ability.

Alright here's the kwik version because I'm going to bed,lol

You should have a laminated paper por something with your sled that shows you about the spring adjustemnt.
On your spring adjuster for the rear springs. The bloack has 3 sides.Soft /medium/hard.

Your shocks have compression and rebound adjusters. They should click. There should be 21 I think.Turn it back 1 at a time and count to you know hwere it was at.I would start at about 9 on the compression.See if that softewns it for you.
Every rider rides diffently and weighs different there is no single setting.you have to fine tune the sled too how you ride.Hopefully this helps.

BLUEBALLER

What kind of riding do you see in local MB.....?

What are your exact settings.......?

I'm curious, I'm a picky bugger (read, like to tinker) and I love this sled, coming from a REV.
