FX Nytro RTX suspension adjustment help needed please

Nothing in the manual about this usually Yamaha has great manuals this one really doesnt cut it though. For a bike they have everything broken down for 10g's we get just basic adjustments and rider safety booklet :o|

I'am sure some people purchased the RTX for the racer image and not the sleds true capabilities, I purchased the RTX for the suspensions adjustability, not that I know how to adjust it yet !!. All my previous so called rough trail sleds never really lived up to expectations, most came with Fox non- adjustable shocks, which I would send out to get valved to be stiffer and hope I would be happy. I orderd the service manual which isn't going to help much. Thankfully for this web site and it's many helpfull members I'll be able to sort thru all the information and make adjustments which will work for me. Because I don't have the know how to do it on my own. Thank You

10% of the suspension travel works pretty good as a general rule of thumb. A lot may depend on how aggressively you're running too. If you run one those all day rides you may want more sag than for an afternoon romp in the bumps.

Agreed, likely one of, if not THE most important setting there is.

Too stiff (too little sag), and you're only using the top of the suspension travel, too little, and you're only using the bottom.....

X2 ;)!
