FX NYTRO Stage 1 SC all issues FIXED!!!

Well little update... Took sled out for the frist time after the fuel pump and reg. upgrade. Man i am still lean did not seam to do much for it at all?? And it is warm out to day like 35deg at 800feet. Fuel setup is about maxed in the red and gree/blue. I think i have a box problem. Not sure what box i have but i bet one of the frist batches for sure. PLus i see at idle the blue light is on. That is telling me presence of boost over 1 psi, wrong i took line off so it was seeing zero boost... Any input guys??

Thank you Skydog P.S. Boy the sled is sick fast out of the gun wow!! :) :)

Skydog have you read this post?

Blue light should be on at idle, what pulleys do you have, what boost are you getting.

What are your box settings?

His blue light shouldn't be on with the boost hose unhooked to the fuel controller though.

25 upper 29 lower 9psi of boost

I will go get my settings for you.

THANK YOU Skydog

3.5green
5.5 yellow
8 red
6.5 green/blue
5 yellow/blue
6 red/blue

I was seeing about 12.5-12.9 on O2 at WOT

9 Psi on pump is too much at sea level with no timing or compression pulled make sure you are running 100LL or 50/50 Pump and VPC12.

Lets see those box numbers
should be something like
Green .5
Yellow 3
Red 4-5
Red/ blue play with this make huge diff I think I was on #5
Blue Green start on #4
Yellow/ blue gotta play with when you stab the throttle if it goes lean or pops up this number.

If you still have the hose for sensing boost disconnected, HOOK IT BACK UP IMMEDIATELY!

You will definately not get enough fuel with it discnnected. Do not be alarmed if it is on at idle. Mine often is on at idle too.

Well all the snow is gone now......damn.... no more testing untill we get more.

Thank you for all the help so far guys!

When running real slow 10 mph or so and you just give the sled gas real real slow. It wants to hang up some, goes real rich. Then like a light switch it snaps out of it? What you think this could be? Bad Gem box??

Thank you Skydog

You have to see what your AFR is telling you, alot of that stumble can be tuned out with the CO adjustment, how does it idle?

The GEMS box IMO has alot of holes in the mapping. But with some knowledge you can get around it and have a fairly well mapped sled.

sweet right on, sled idles great i have the afrs at 13.5 at idle. But every now and then it will hang lean... 14.5 or so.. If i turn up the CO trim will that add more fuel at WOT? Say i max the GEM box out on fuel in the red mode and the green/blue and still need more at WOT. Will turning up the CO trim add more fuel at WOT? Or is it Maxed?

THank you for all your time and help!! Matt

CO is idle only but if the idle is goofy on it then play with the red/blue that changes the voltage clamp the box puts on the map sensor, it also really throws the fuel maps around so a change will change the whole map.
