I just bought an '05 Vector Mtn demo sled with 400 miles on it, so it is at least somewhat broken in. The first time out was a combination of trail and deep snow and I got 8 mpg. The next time out my niece (100 lbs) rode it on the trails 30 -40 mph and I got 10.7 mpg. The next time out was me again and mostly climbing and boondocking in heavy snow. I got 7 mpg ( also had to tow a Cat a couple of miles ). Anyway, the big reason I bought it was for dependability and range. I was expecting 12 mpg when running hard and 15 when on trail/boonies. According to the dealer they get that regularly on blown RX 1's and Vectors. It is set up with 19/40 gearing and a little clutch weight tweeking, other than that it is stock. I have it into the dealer now to look it over. What kind of mileage figures are you guys getting and under what kind of conditions? Thx

Know a guy with a venture tf (same motor) who was getting about the same mileage (10 or less). Dealer found the choke was sticking partially open. After choke fix, mileage went up to 18mpg.

with a turbo in deep heavy snow in the mountains I have ran out of gas at 41 miles with an 8gl. tank due to the front mount turbo, the best I have gotten is 7-8mpg every body I now running turbo,s in the mountains gets about the same if you are riding groomed trails you will get alot better mileage but if your in the mountains and running the boost all the time it takes fuel to make hp and you will not get good mileage we don,t have groomed trails.
